Design: Franco Albini | Manufacturer: Arflex | Place of origin: Italy | Date of manufacturing: 1952 first edition

The Fiorenza was designed by Franco Albini in 1952. It was actually a development of an old Albini design from 1940'. The first edition was manufactured by Arflex in 1952. The armchair featured two elastic belts on the sides which were holding the seat. In 1956 a new model came out, this time with drop down vertical legs and without supporting which eliminated the belts and added a sleek modern look to the whole design. The third version came out in 1956. It initially featured foam rubber filling then replaced by non deformable differentiated density polyurethane foam. Wood structure made of solid beech wood painted black and a beige non removable fabric upholstery. What makes this armchair a winning product is the ergonomic shape which follows the human body for a superior seat comfort.

Conditions: Very good. Clean. Small pin size flaw in the fabric on the back of the chair (refer to picture)

Dimensions: Width 29" - depth 36.2" - height 40.5" - seat height 16.5“Item no. 867
